Reed “Tip” of the Month
——————————

Just like people, reeds have shifting needs as they age. When
we ship our reeds, they are ready to play with very little
soaking. However, as reeds age with playing, their openings
become smaller and the fibers of the cane break down. Because
of this, reeds need to be soaked longer the older they get.
Keep this in mind as you soak your old reeds–they have different
needs than new reeds!

The Trading Post
——————————-

Covey oboe, professional model, serial #A361. Purchased new
in December of 2002 and barely played. Never cracked,
new condition. Asking price $4500.
