Since it is November, we’d like to say thank you for being our

teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime”? Learning to make
reeds is your ticket to a lifetime of good reeds! You will have
the best success with the reeds in your case if you have the
knowledge and awareness of how they were made and how to tweak them
yourself. Reeds are as individual as the oboists who play them,
so having even the most basic knowledge of using a knife will help
you to greater understand and finetune your reeds for your needs.
You will get more out of your reeds and your oboe playing if you
learn how to make reeds!
