A Note from Maryn
==================

Sunday 10:50 AM
Sedona, AZ

It’s FREEZING in Sedona! Wow, we got some snow this week and
it’s still extremely cold. Brrr….

I WAS growing some lettuce outside in our garden (don’t ask
why I’m growing stuff in the winter time :), but I’m afraid
I’ll have to hope it sprouts again in the spring. I
sincerely doubt lettuce was meant for temperatures in the
teens. Ouch.

Anyway, hope you all are keeping your oboes warm 🙂

What’s New?
=====================

We don’t usually give away “free reeds” for any reason. But
in this issue of the reed report, that’s exactly what is
going to happen.

This offer is good through midnight on Saturday January 8
2011.

When you order a copy of our reedmaking course, “How to Make
Your Very Own Oboe Reed in 9 Days or Less” we’ll include a
free oboe reed!

All you have to do are two simple things…

[REMOVED: Specials reserved for Reed Report Newsletter Subscribers ONLY. Subscribe Free Here.]

That’s a value of $35!!

You’ll get started on your own reedmaking journey and get a
great reed to go with it!

Please note, you’ll be able to download the course right
away, but the free reed is subject to our normal delivery
times of 2-4 weeks.

Featured Oboe Video
====================

Some of the most fun I’ve ever had on the oboe is thanks to
one Jan Dismas Zelenka.

If you aren’t familiar with this composer, I think you’ll
LOVE it…

Take a listen to one of his sonatas below:

inexpressible is music.”

Here’s something you should NEVER forget:

You’re only as good as your second best reed.

Here’s this week’s question:

What’s the ONE piece, that’s not written for oboe, that you
WISH you could play on the oboe?

Showcase your answer on our Facebook(R) Page here:

Thanks for reading. Until next time…

Happy playing,

Maryn Leister
